In 5e, each class should play differently and have certain things that define the class, making it a unique experience. Thanks to David B for pointing out some of the changes needed, especially catching that I used the wrong word for horde.Īfter considering this for years now and learning and discecting D&D 5e class design, I have made the decision to make one final change to the Dragon Knight Class. Added the ability for the Warblade to make shove attacks at range with Improved Tenacity to better align it with the other level 10 abilities.Added some clarification in the paired shield section to explain that magic shields with bonuses to AC also add that bonus to attack and damage rolls when changed into the Paired Shields.Changed the title of Horde's bane so that it used the proper word for Horde.I've been having one of my players run the class this way for months now and it hasn't proven to create any balance issues, but feel free to comment on the page if you notice it unbalances the class at your table and I'll make appropriate changes to keep the balance. So now, the initial transformation is a flat 30 seconds and Extended Transformation allows you to spend 2 points instead of 1 to make the transformation last 1 minute instead of 30 seconds, but it still has the 10 minute cooldown period between transformations to prevent abuse. It was meant to be something that could be used in tandem with the dragon attacks, but with how short it lasted that really wasn't possible. After feedback from my own players and seeing the class played, I decided the Dragon Transformation wasn't really working as intended.Huge thank you specifically to Jean-François L and Joshua M for the massive amount of help they gave me in this specific update. Removed references to "Dual Blade" as that was an earlier wording for the Double Blade that I decided didn't describe the weapon well.Added "This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks." to the description of the Dragon Charge Dragon Attack.
